KS2 FOOD WEBS | HOW ENERGY IS TRANSFERRED IN CHAINS - EDUCATION QUIZZES

https://www.educationquizzes.com/ks2/science/food-webs/

Animals get their energy from their food. Plants create it and then it's transferred to herbivores who eat the plants and then to carnivores who eat them! In science we can show this by drawing food webs or chains. See how much you know in this KS2 quiz for year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 students.

The 123HUB is a FREE resource bank and teaching community for primary school teachers. It has been designed to assist teachers in finding good quality online resources. Our aim is to take the effort and guesswork out of finding the best online resources that are available for the primary school curriculum. All of the resources on the 123HUB have been hand picked by teachers.

Now over 2400 quality teaching resources available!

Our featured theme for November 2019 is Creative Writing!

Creative Writing. Our super featured theme for November is the enthralling and imaginative topic of Creative Writing.  Most people really enjoy reading, or being read, a good story or article; however, writing one can be another matter altogether.  Nonetheless, there are many reluctant writers out there who merely need the right prompting, inspiration and encouragement in order to get their creative juices flowing and perhaps become the next Roald Dahl, J K Rowling or David Walliams!

We have 54 excellent creative writing themed websites on offer; they include resources for both KS1 and KS2. We have inspiring image prompts and story starters, exciting writing activities and ideas, and much more besides, all of which will hopefully inspire and release the imaginations of our reluctant writers. The resources comprise of a mixture of: example stories, guidance, activities, information, video clips, as well as some detailed planning - each of which will effectively support this great topic.

In addition to our featured theme, we also have the following mini themes, which might prove helpful during November:

Remembrance  Day. As Remembrance Day also falls in November, we have, in addition, 14 really useful resources that will help cover this topic with KS1 and KS2. The resources provide: information, facts, activities, videos and planning ideas that will hopefully prove invaluable to teachers.

Animation. Using animation in the classroom is certainly an exciting advance in education technology. Animation allows children the opportunity to be really creative in designing their own comic strips, stories, movies and much more. They can use stop-motion, or computer animation to create amazing stories and games, or they could simply use a pencil and paper to create a basic flip-book animation. Whatever method is chosen, animation is a fantastic way to engage children in their learning.

We currently have over 40 super themed websites on offer; they primarily embrace the subjects of Computing, Art & Design and English but could effectively be used in support of other subjects, across the whole curriculum.  Collectively, the resources include advice, tutorials, workshops, examples, software choices and much more besides. They comprise of a mixture of: information, facts, research, hands-on activities, illustrations and video clips, as well as some detailed planning - each of which will effectively underpin this fascinating and engaging topic.

Halloween. As Halloween also falls in October, in addition to our main featured monthly theme above, we also included ten great Halloween resources. The resources include: activities, games, word searches and more, which teachers may find really useful.
