Activity Village has a huge selection of Easter activities for you to enjoy with your kids, including colouring pages, printables, jokes, crafts and puzzles!

Explore below. What is Easter? Easter is an important Christian festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. There are many different customs for celebrating Easter around the world, but the Friday before Easter Sunday (Good Friday) and the Monday after are given as a bank holiday in the UK. Early celebrations included the painting of eggs, which represented Jesus' empty tomb. Now we give Easter eggs - often chocolate - to friends and family, and have Easter egg hunts for eggs hidden by the Easter bunny. When is Easter? Easter is not a fixed holiday and the date varies between 22nd March and 25th April. Easter Sunday will next be celebrated on 21st April 2019.

Our featured theme for June 2019 is Art and Design!

Art and Design. This month's featured theme is the creative subject of art and design. In primary school, art and design can be fun, it can be decorative and it can also be used to convey a message, or tell a story. It can be created for exhibition, demonstration and illustration purposes, or it can simply be produced for personal enjoyment and as a vehicle for expressing the artist’s imagination and creativity. There can be little doubt that the subject has wide-ranging appeal and artistic creation is really enjoyed by many - children and adults alike!

We have 47 great art and design themed websites on offer; they include resources for both KS1 and KS2. The resources embrace the different artistic disciplines, elements, materials, designs, artists and much more besides. They comprise of a mixture of: art examples and ideas, art and design information and lessons, video clips, as well as some detailed planning - each of which will effectively support this great theme.

The Featured theme is updated monthly during the academic year. Watch out for our great 'Titanic and Sea Travel' resources, coming in July 2019!
