The Get on with the Game education packs aim to use the power of football to address children’s behavioural issues, educating and engaging children on a range of social and emotional issues both in football and everyday life. All of the resources can be used within the Key Stage 2 curriculum, covering Years 3-6. Whilst the modules are based around the theme of football, you may wish to adapt some of the examples/scenarios for children who are interested in other sports.
The key message of the Get on with the Game initiative is that by getting on with each other and getting on with the referee players are free to get on with enjoying the game. Each module consists of a general introduction, a variety of learning activities, and a conclusion plenary. Each one can be used to cover one of the themes covered in the SEAL programme.
